David G. Young, CPA


This years speaker, David G. Young, CPA, is the managing partner of Young and Company CPAs LLP, a philanthropist, and combat veteran. 

David has over 25 years experience in accounting, tax, and business consulting.  He established his firm in 1997 and is a time-tested, proven business partner and leader in our community.   He is a regular speaker on News 8 at Sunrise as others news outlets. He is serving his second three term on New York State Society of CPAs (NYSSCPA) at the state level and has served on the Rochester Chapter’s board for many years. 

David retired as a Lieutenant Colonel in the US Army Reserve in 2012 having served in the reserves for over 27 years. He deployed to Afghanistan shortly after the attacks of 09/11.  He is a decorated combat veteran with two deployments since 9/11 and has been awarded a Bronze Star Medal and a Combat Action Badge.

David is also the Executive Director of Heart of God Haiti, an organization whose purpose is to create and maintain a family group setting for abandoned children to live in, to support a village schools that serves over 300 children, and to maintain a micro-loan program that allows approximately 100 women to become self-sufficient, thus allowing them to break the cycle of poverty and care for their children.

David is also a deacon as his church. 

David lives in Upstate New York with his wife, Julie and their three children; two sons, Benjamin and Robenson and one daughter, Bernadine.  Robenson, who is from Haiti, joined the Young family in January of 2010 shortly after the earthquake that devastated Port au Prince.  Their daughter Bernadine, also from Haiti, joined the family in January, 2017.
